Preparing to Seek Forgiveness

Self-analysis as I ponder seeking forgiveness for making false assumptions.

When I speak I want to avoid a spirit of pious spiritual superiority.

DO NOT DEFEND MY OWN REPUTATION. Leave it in God's hands no matter the outcome. DO ALL FOR GOD'S GLORY AND REPUTATION.

This is very difficult be4cause it is so confusing to me. How do I separate defending myself (which I want to avoid) from defending God's reputation, especially if I believe He lives in me?

DO NOT BRING UP THEIR ISSUES AND PROBLEMS. This will neutralize or even create suspicion of ulterior motives. BE HUMBLE AND PREPARED TO HEAR ANY ACCUSATION AGAINST ME.

Allow no bitterness to be harbored inside me. Maintain an attitude of instant forgiveness inwardly. FOCUS ON RECONCILIATION AND BETTER RELATIONSHIP.

In attempting to live from my heart I am often misunderstood.

Pride is a protective mask we use to hide our shame, to even deny its existence. It is the counterfeit of grace which can remove our shame and replace it with glory.
